To Answer Sara's question...

LOST Kicked Hinnie last night! I'm so excited! The show is sooo good and totally bazar! I was like what the hey? They have a talent at making simple things creepy. I wish they had given us more of a hint to the current status of the people who left on the raft. The guy in the hatch is so bazar I have no idea what so ever what to think about that. How did he get all that stuff, electricity, running water... did he bring them there...does he have a past with all of them like he does with Jack....so many questions? Was the girl that Jack "fixed" his ex wife that we saw last season? Did anyone catch what Walter was saying...we decided it was not audible but wondering if anyone else had a clue. SOOO good can't wait to next week.

My head hurts and I'm grumpy but I like TV

So today has been pretty long and blah....with no dinner in sight to break up the time between now and new community! I can't wait to get home, hug Malachy, and watch Lost. Wednesdays get really long, especially when Kim doesn't come to church and sit with me before New Com. Oh well.

Last nights Gilmore Girls was great! When are those ladies going to make up already! Probably as soon as Rory realizes how crazy she is being. I did actually feel a little sorry for her this week. She seemed so lonely. The Office was also hilarious and suprisingly touching! Tuesday night TV gets an A in my book! Will see how Lost does tonight, I doubt I will be disappointed!

Tomorrow Mark and I have to try to get the Brakes fixed on his car, get him some new glasses, get Malachys formula and food at Wal-mart and do 6 loads of laundry at the laundry mat all before I have small group but after we get some work done at home! Yikes it will be a marathon of a day. I hope we get to go look at houses again soon. I already found the one I want now I just have to convince Kim and Mark so we can put in an offer before it sells and the weather turns cold! Exciting.... I hope it all works out!

Where did all my time go?!?!

Sorry I have not kept up on the blogging lately! Mark and I had a busy weekend! If you have not caught on by now, when I say weekend, I'm referring to Sunday afternoon thru Tuesday. Sunday night I went with Kim to an Art club kind of thingy at church. I think she enjoyed it. I enjoyed it too, but Kim is for sure the bigger artist.

Monday Mark and I went "house hunting" with our fun realtor Ann. We saw a super cute condo in Hoffman Estates only 5 min. from church! There were some not as cute but bigger townhomes in Cary like 24 mins from church. So the hunt is still on, we're going out again later this week I think. I'm liking Hoffman Estates right now. It would be REALLY nice to be that close to work! Monday night Mark and I started Marriage Matters...I'm excited and nervous about it. I think it may be a little more intense then I thought it was going to be. And it feels like it has already got complicated a week into it. But Mark says "we paid for it and were going to stick to it". Don't get me wrong I do enjoy it, I just like keeping things simple. I know that having focused time away from Malachy and TV to talk about our relationship is going to be really beneficial. Will see how it all works out! It feels like the same topics we already did in Fit to be tied...but... we really got a lot out of our time there!

This morning Kim and I took Piper to the Vet! We got Hard Core Flea medicine for ALL the kitties at her house. (Including the kitten) So I that was great! Piper had a fever so she couldn't get shots and we will have to go back in two weeks for those. We did get Piper some medicine though so hopefully she will feel better soon. She was really good at the Vet. I think it was harder on Kim then it was on Piper! This will be along process because after Piper gets her shots there are 2 more kitties to get shots! I'm hoping to have it all done before we move but I'm not sure how that will work with the $$! Mark and I have to come up with some "Ernest Money" when we are ready to make an offer and we will also need $$ for the appraiser and Inspection. Other then that everything can be rolled into our loan! So it might take some hardcore budgeting on our part for a little while but I think we can manage it and it will be sooo worth it to start building equity!

This is a conference week at church and we have a staff meeting so I know it's going to be busy. TV was Great tonight hopefully can post on that tomorrow!

I heart TV (as lauren and sisters would say)

New TV starting this week and next makes me happy! I got to watch Gilmore Girls tuesday and despite Lukes ridiculous hair and the desire to punch Rory I was very pleased!! Tonight was Survivor and I'm really glad to see Stephanie and Bobby John back in the action! Next week starts Lost..woo hoo..and The Amazing Race (family) very exciting stuff! I may be droping Alias, they have gotten pretty lame lately. The preview says Expect More! Sydney is pregnant and Vaughn may be a double agent! Let's see if these end up being cheap tricks or if they can win back my affection. These shows will hold me over until I can satisfy my Jack attack with some 24 and their new agent Sean Austen! Rock on TV!

Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time!

I Don't really know what to post about! Mark and I were going to go to Michigan this weekend for Jeff's party but then we ended up not going...Which was sad! The problem was, we would of had to pay for it by credit card and we just took out a loan to pay off our credit cards so that would be counter productive! Plus Malachy has been really sad lately...we think it's because he just cut 2 new teeth. Also we have been really busy and are both exhausted and grumpy with eachother. Mark and I don't travel well. Crystal was talking in small group about how much fun they he traveling as a family and I was thinking NOT US! I can't drive, Mark has a hard time staying awake...he's not a huge talker and I don't like his music so we both get bored and I'm thinking we're going to die the whole time because I'm so paranoid. So as much as it would have been nice to see the Vanderkoois I think it was best we didn't go.

Mark worked on Todd and Kelli's wedding video and I tried to wrangle the baby. He has become a hand full that little guy! We did take him to the park and the play center at the mall this weekend. I try to let the kid have some fun!

Some interesting news...we did talk to a mortgage broker who said we were approved for an FHA loan up to 175. I think that was with out my income but we don't want anything that would lock me into working for ever! So we have been doing a little looking around on the internet at houses. It seems like we would have to move to Hoffman Estates or Cary to find what we are looking for (3 bedroom, 2 bath, not a fixer uper) under 175! I'm just not sure if it makes more since to wait 6 months and get our credit scores up. Our relater pal told us the market is shifting from a sellers market to a buyers market now so it may be a good time to buy...will see.

I had a party with my promiseland production team this weekend and it was a lot of fun! I have a family that serves on my team and they let us have it at their house...Which was great! The father, Roy, borrowed this amazing camera from his work! It was a digital SLR worth over 10,000 (with the lens) I took so many pictures it was sooo much fun! The sad thing was the camera was on auto and we accidently didn't have the exposure set right so most of them didn't turn out...bummer! But it was still fun to play with! He says he can borrow it when ever he wants so next time we have a party I can try again!

Malachy's birthday...destroyed!

SOOO...we can't have Malachy's b-day party at church! I'm sooo bummed! I don't know what we will do now because I have already invited everyone I know (well almost). And we will not all fit in my apartment! I'm sooo bummed! I was really excited about it too. Maybe we could have it in the church parking lot, that will get em!

Aahhhhh!

These are the things my husband and I fight about!

LOST

LOST came out on DVD today, you should all go rent it or buy it and get caught up! The new season starts soon!

Thoughts on Holiness

Holiness and Righteousness have been on my mind a LOT lately. I'm not quite sure how I feel on the subject right now. I tend to want it to be ambigous, but the bible seems to make it very clear. I'm still trying to define and figure it all out and, I thought blogging on the subject may help me.

Here are some verses I looked up today:
Romans 6:19 "I put this in Human terms because you are weak in you natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurities and ever increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to Holiness."

Hebrews 12:10 and 14 "Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness....Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."

Ephesians 5:4 "Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse
joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving."

There are many verses on how God wants us to be righteous, I don't have the patience to look them all up and post them right now.

It appears to me that in our generation (or society or whatever) the desire to be holy is too often looked on as being intolerant, judgmental, or self-righteous and not as trying to live a life of love and purity seeking after God's heart. I have noticed many Christians (mostly my age or younger) turn their back on Holiness and are embarrassed or even offended by those who seek it. I know I have felt those things myself in the past and even some lately. As I get older I'm beginning to come to a place where my "religion" is more about my personal relationship with Christ then it is about what others are thinking or doing. I'm finding more freedom in this and the desire to be Holy is slowly creeping it's way back into my heart. I'm no longer able to turn my back on it because it keeps showing up! I have been feeling really convicted lately in regards to the way I speak, the way I think, and how I spend my money.

One verse on Righteousness I do want to post is this:
Galatians 2:21 "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

I'm including that verse because I want to make it clear that I'm in no way implying that the pursuit of righteousness is in an effort to earn salvation. Also, I don't believe that God considers a judgmental heart to be Holy. It's not about what others are doing, it's a personal thing. I don't believe holiness is more important than love - I think it flows out of love.

James 1:27 "Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from
being polluted by the world."

I'm still figuring it out but these are my thoughts for now.

gotta love em!

I just thought I would share some more phots with ya'll becuase crystal had such cute ones on her blog! These are all like a month (or more) old. The other cute baby is Madi paddi!
Madison and Malachy BFF's!

Malachy dosen't like to share his toy's yet!

opp's again! I stink at posting phots the wrong way! That glistening crease in his tummy is indeed full of spit! Yummy!

His hair is practicaly in his eyes when it gets wet now!

Why are you doing this to me! After this experience Kim refused to feed him "meat in a jar"

another fine weekend!

Mark and I had another grand weekend! Yesterday after church we went with Dad and his (as well as our) pal Lou to the race trac. It was an interesting experience. The trac was gorgeous! There were a LOT more families there then I had expected and the whole thing was fascinating. We drove to the barns afterwards with Lou to see his horse (which didn't win but did come in 4th) and it was amazing to see how many barns were there along with a bunch of apartment housing for the staff. It's a whole community, it was nuts! Mark and I gambled a little which I felt sort of bad about especially after a good friend of mine implied that she thought it was a bit distastefull, gambling at all, in-light of the recent tragedy in New Orleans.... I sort of agree with her. I'm choosing to look at it as paying for the experience rather then gambling but I do think if I ever go again I will bring $10 instead of $40. Mark and I had a good time and enjoyed being in the fresh air seeing huge horses and hanging out with Dad and Lou!

Today we tried to go to the pool which was closed!!!! So after driving around for 30 mins trying to find something open and fun for Malachy we ended up at... the Mall ( of course)! We let Malachy play for the first time in the play area, he loved it! He was as fascinated with the other kids as he was with the things to climb on! Then we got him some ice cream (his new favorite treat) and a little plush frog. Malachy had a good day. Mark and I did a butt load of cleaning this morning and are continuing tonight. It feels good to finally be getting stuff done!
